Moscow and Vodka
Arrive in Moscow airport and get transferred to the hotel. After a quick freshen-up, head out to the Vodka Museum to learn about the history of Vodka and then a tasting session – after all, education can’t wait! Overnight in Moscow.
Moscow by day and Pubs by night
Go on a tour of the largest city of Russia to get acquainted with all the major sights including the Red Square, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Novodevichiy Convent, Poklonnaya and Vorobievy Mountains, Tverskaya Street, Bulvarnoye Koltso (Boulevard Ring), and other attractions. After a long and tiring day, more work in evening – bar hopping across 4 of the best bars in Moscow with Welcome drinks to get a feel of the various Vodka cocktails and Russian eats. Overnight stay in Moscow.
Vladimir and Suzdal
Head out in the morning to Vladimir, a very old Russian city and one the Russia Golden Ring cities. The city situated on the high bank of the Klyazma River and stuns one with the sheer grandeur, size, and beauty of the magnificent golden-domed churches and buildings. After a tour of Vladimir, head out to Suzdal for an overnight stay.
Wake up to this small city, this reserve of old architecture – there are nearly 70 monuments over an area of about 2 square km! No wonder it is called a city museum. This is an oasis of calm in our otherwise hectic itinerary… It is also heaven for the photographers and those out to capture manmade beauty nestling in the midst of natural beauty… After exploring this lovely city, head out to St Petersburg for the night.
Wake up fresh to a relatively young city (founded in 1703) that has been playing a key role in the history of Russia ever since it was founded. Head out on a tour of the main architectural and historical monuments of Saint Petersburg – the numerous palaces and cathedrals, rivers and channels, bridges and parks. Spend the evening cruising the canals on a midnight cruise to view the magnificent city by night. Overnight in St Petersburg.
Petersburg – Culture and History
This is a day dedicated to art, culture, and history. Visit one of the largest museums in the world, the State Hermitage – it is said that it would take 15 years to see all the exhibits treasured in the Hermitage! We can’t take that long, but you can take your time to admire works by such great masters as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Michelangelo, Renoir, Picasso and many others. And then off to visit the beautiful summer residence of the Royal family – Peterhof with its lower park and Great Palace and its huge historical significance. Overnight in St Petersburg.
St Petersburg – Vodka
After the previous day’s surfeit of culture, this is a day dedicated to the study of Vodka and its consumption – Museums, Bars, traditional eating joints… Bar hopping = hard work!
After breakfast, transfer to the Airport for your flight to Moscow and back home.
