Bangalore Fashion Week is back with edition #17.
From the 3rd to the 6th of August, the people of Bangalore witnessed collections from some of the best fashion designers in the country. Each designer brought their own individual flavour to the event through their unique design sensibilities and aesthetic sense. Perhaps what made BFW 17 different from all other fashion shows was its approach to the whole event which saw several young and up and coming designers being featured. In fact, most of the designers who showcased their collections were relatively new to the fashion world. However, what these young designers lacked in experience, they more than made up for with talent.
In total, 25+ collections were showcased at this edition of the Bangalore Fashion Week. Each one of these 25 collections was distinct in their own way, and each one brought forth a theme that perfectly encapsulated the style of its designer. Designers such as Aishwarya Tyagi, Namrata Sanghi, Amukta & Kriti were amongst the many designers who were new to the fashion world and were showcasing their collections at the Bangalore Fashion Week. Rajesh Nepal came to Bangalore all the way from Nepal to showcase a collection that was inspired by his motherland. BFW essentially allowed newcomers to build a large network of peers and supporters in a short period of time. Designers were also provided a space where people could purchase their creations and interact with the designers.
While young designers were in plenty, BFW 17 had no shortage of some well-known fashion designers at the event as well. Designers such as Monapali, Abhishek Dutta, and Pria Kataaria Puri brought in a finesse to BFW 17 that could only have been possible with their presence. Also, with celebs like Nawazuddin Siddiqui at the event, what could go wrong?
All in all, the 17th edition of the Bangalore Fashion week was a fabulous celebration of fashion and we cannot wait for edition 18!
Stay tuned for videos and interviews from the event!
