German multi-instrumentalist, The Micronaut will be performing in Bangalore.
Stefan Streck AKA The Micronaut recently released his third full-length album, Forms, his most immersive work yet. The Micronaut will be performing in Bangalore on the 10th of June in support of the album alongside Ox7gen and Carius. The German multi-instrumentalist is known to get the buzz going on the dancefloor while still being able to include elements of pop music and IDM in his works, which is evident from his track ‘Pyramid’ from his latest album.
Although this may be the first time that most people in Bangalore would be hearing his music, The Micronaut has been doing this for a long time now. Quite surprisingly, he started off in the hardcore/grindcore scene before switching over to electronic music. He’s has been credited with 3 full-length releases and has been performed over 100 shows while still working on remixes and releasing his own music.
The Micronaut’s combination of detailed atmospheres, blaring bass sounds and live guitar work are what help him to create his own, distinct sound. Germany has been known to be home a to a booming electronic music scene, and the Micronaut is a testament to just that.
Opening for The Micronaut will be Mumbai-based electronic music producer Aditya Ashok. When he’s not busy playing drums in bands in like Skyharbor, Aditya Ashok puts music out under the Ox7gen moniker. He has performed as a supporting act for some of the biggest international bass artists including London Elektricity, KOAN Sound, Concord Dawn, Dub Phizix & Nymfo to name a few. In addition, he’s put out 3 EPs, Recess being the most recent one out of those. Being a drummer adds an extra layer of versatility to his music, and he’s known to leave people on the dancefloor exhausted but very satisfied.
The gig will be taking place at The Humming Tree, Bangalore on the 10th of June at 9 PM. Find out all the details you need to get there here.
