Not much has happened yet but that’s going to change very soon.
Season 7 has been off to a slow start by Game of Thrones standards. Episode 2, ‘Stormborn’ was another episode where the characters spoke about what they were going to do but not many of them took significant actions. However, episodes like these are necessary for things to really take off in later episodes. With so much discussion taking place of what course of action needs to be taken, it’s only a matter of time before something really epic happens. With only 5 episodes left in season 7, things are going to accelerate very quickly and very soon.

Perhaps what season 7 has done best so far is to bring several characters together so that the story isn’t spread too thin. When we head to Stormborn, we’re able to witness the action surrounding Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Grey Worm and all of their allies. This season also sees the episodes progress at a faster rate, ensuring that the story is more tightly bound together.
‘Stormborn’ uses these changes to its advantage, affecting multiple character arcs with one sweep.

Arya Stark is all set to return to Winterfell while Jon Snow leaves in the hopes of acquiring a new ally and maybe some dragon glass. Daenerys and Tyrion chalk out a plan to take over the 7 kingdoms while Cersei starts organizes her defenses, with a secret weapon to battle the dragons. Newer plans are created while older ones begin to fall through. Theon and Yara Greyjoy are faced with some trouble and unfortunately, Theon fails to redeem himself yet again.

With only 5 episodes left to go until the end of the season and maybe only 11 episodes left in total, one can only expect for things to begin accelerating and for some serious action to begin taking place. Until then, watch this space.
