Horrible sequels you didn’t know exist!
TITANIC II (2010)
It’s technically not a sequel (the producer couldn’t get rights to James Cameron’s Oscar winning hit – Duh!)
but Titanic 2 (TV drama) is a terrible rip off of the original where it sets sail and meets a predictable fate! Ugh!
Legally Blondes (2009)
Annie and Izzy Woods (cousins of Elle Woods) play the dizzy-but-smart blonds taking on those snooty Yanks in the not so original Legally Blondes. Here’s the thing, if you want to create magic on screen, at least be original!
Dumb and Dumber :
When Harry Met Lloyd (2003)
We found out a couple years ago that the public didn’t even want a Dumb and Dumber prequel. So it comes as no surprise to that the laughless prequel starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels was an utter flop, grossing a paltry $39 million at the box office.
Addams Family Reunion (1998)
It’s exactly what you think it is: a pocket-money budgeted cash-in without the bruise-back invention of the original director Barry Sonnesfeld. Retaining only Carel (Lurch) and Christopher Hart (thing) from the original cast, this third film earns several thumbs down. But if I were to be fair, Tim Curry makes a brilliant Gomez. 😉
Road House 2 : Last Call (2006)
The 1989 Road House starring Patrick Swayze as a kickboxing bouncer waging war on a small-town big man, barely made an impact at the box office. So did they learn from that mistake ? No! Someone is 2006 thought it would a splendid idea to make a sequel to it and lo and behold – Road House 2. Swayze sat this one out (thank god for his good senses) and left the kickboxing duties to Johnathon Schaech (who plays Swayze’s son) taking on a ruthless drug dealer. (You may role your eyes now)
HOLLYWOOD. Hate it or love it, you sure can’t live without it.
