Here, we’re gonna concentrate on how to eat that apple that fell on newton’s head.
(not the same one obvi!)
An Apple a day keeps a Dr. away. Well, not really, but it does help in good fat burning way. Apples contain Pectin, a type of fiber that fills up your tummy.
So there was this research done that had people eat apples 45 minutes before lunch. What they discovered was that people felt less hungry whilst serving themselves up and actually took a smaller portion.
Apple contains a host of good anti-oxidants and some are found chiefly in the skin. BUT as your Nutrition coach, I am going to ask you to peel the apple Skin and throw it away. YES!
It’s the WAX COATING that’s put on the surface of the apples to prevent dehydration and keep the apples shiny and beautiful.
So DITCH the skin, my granny said otherwise, but you know what its 2016
and we need to move with the times.
I buy Indian Shimla apples that are not shiny and are kinda ugly. Wash them well and then eat them with the skin.
An apple is the perfect SNACK BUDDY. All you need to do is carry an apple or 2 and make sure you have a fruit peeler in your back pack. You can bite into this fresh snack anytime, anywhere!
