Deadpool 2 is in deep waters even before the movie is launched!
Tim Miller quits over mutual creative differences in a surprising twist to the plot. Although the director had not formally signed-on to the sequel, he had been working on a script and was expected to return behind the camera, Deadline report.
Deadpool 2 may have lost its director, but writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are still expected to return for the sequel – in fact, Ryan Reynolds wouldn’t return without them while Tim is expected to helm another project for Fox called Influx.
The hunt for the role of Domino is on with a number of actors been approached. Among those up for the role of the white-skinned mutant are Mackenzie Davis, 10 Cloverfield Lane’s Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Orange is the New Black’s Ruby Rose and American Sniper’s Sienna Miller.
In other news, Deadpool was nominated for a Clio Award for creative excellence in advertising and for Best Integrated Marketing Key Art. Deadpool 2 is expected to begin shooting in early 2017 for release in January 2018.
Rumor has it:
Quentin Tarantino might be coming onboard as the new director
Carl Champion Jr. is directly imploring Ryan Reynolds with a post titled: “Tarantino for Deadpool 2.”
“If there was ever a chance to see Tarantino do a project almost guaranteed to make a billion dollars, this is it. We got a great taste of what this could be like in Kill Bill, but imagine having a guy like Tarantino write dialogue for The Merc with the Mouth! It would be so glorious. Join me!” it reads.
Carl is looking to get 1,000 signatures and already has 743.
So there’s definitely something more to expect this Deadpool 2
