‘A rare genius’ someone had mentioned on social media this morning, even that is an understatement! As the world remembered the famed theoretical physicist, cosmologist and best-selling author Stephen Hawking, it is just the sheer influence he has had on scientists and everyone remotely curious about the universe, that stands out. There are stories and a million of them on many famous people who have had to face adversity before they found success. But no story comes close to Stephen Hawking’s determination, perseverance and mathematical acumen, especially with his medical condition. It is nothing short of a miracle!
No man has ever dug up so deep into the universe with so much of intellect and understanding. His predictions on the future of humanity and our need to connect with Aliens, he has been one of the most intriguing personalities ever. Despite his condition, Stephen Hawking was always carried a well-rounded personality. His peers and colleagues remember him as funny and perverse, in fact, noted acted Benedict Cumberbatch even praised his wicked sense of humor. Stephen Hawking took to facing the camera on many occasions, having appeared in Star Trek, Futurama and recently on The Big Bang theory.
The world will miss Stephen and his intellect; maybe he had to be closer to the Universe and explore it further. It is no co-incidence that he passed away on March 14th, which is also observed as Pi Day.
