Aditya Nandwana in pursuit of musical excellence.
If ever there was a revolution in music, it has to be through this man who squeals, shrieks and screeches… remarkably in sync! At the onset, he looks like a geek, you know those scientist-turned alien researcher sorts, but surprisingly, he admits that he in-fact was a last bencher like ‘you guys’. Speaking and performing at the Under 25 Summit’s Surfing on Sound Circuit’s Workshop, Aditya Nandwana opened the doors to all things creative, gripping and unbelievably awesome! Nandwana, 35, is the founder of Animal Factory Amplification, a Mumbai-based (one-man) company through which he makes boutique guitar pedals.
He started day one of the Under 25 Summit with a short narration on what made him follow this unique path of mixing distorting sounds. An engineer at college, his love for circuit boards and his realization that the sounds coming out of foot pedals were on short supply, made Nandwana choose this as a full time hobby. “I’m more a sound person vis-a-vis a music person. I like sounds and that’s why I think I got more intrigued with this. It’s more about hearing, not just listening”.
