Dominic Toretto returns with his multi-cultured gang, this time to the streets of New York
The much awaited Fast 8 is all set to hit the theaters in April 2017 with more twists and a bigger star cast.
Lead actor Vin Diesel revealed to his fans on Instagram that Furious 8 intends to begin a new trilogy of films, that will ultimately see the end of the franchise with Furious 10.
Furious 7 saw the end of much loved Brian O’Conner, however Cody, Paul Walker’s brothers has hinted that a future Fast & Furious movie could bring back Brian – presumably using CGI. The movie will also honor Walker’s wish by going back to more street racing instead of relying on special effects and huge action sequences.
There were doubts whether The Rock would be back for another film due to his ridiculously busy schedule but all doubts was put to rest with him saying:
“It can’t go on without Hobbs!”
Dwayne has also expressed a huge interest in making a solo Hobbs movie and talks are in process with the studio.
Michelle Rodriguez who plays Letty Ortiz, the romantic interest of Dom, isn’t afraid to play in the boy’s league but after working with Charlize Theron on the recent film, she feels the movie needs more positive female characters. Eva Mendes who played Agent Fuentes is also rumored to be returning for this franchise.
The sequel sees a change in directors, and this time around its F. Gary Gray, who replaces acclaimed director James Wan.
In late September, Diesel announced on Facebook that the first Fast * trailer will debut on December 11.
