Don’t Wake Us Up ’Cause It’s Not Over!
Avicii’s songs have touched people all around the world. A blend of genius lyrics and the four right chords, get us all turned up with tears. Now, that is the power of his music. The nostalgia that everyone felt when he performed “The Nights” is beyond imaginable because it’s too relatable. Every teenager’s father has told them to live their life because YOLO!
The wounds of the tragedy are still fresh and so are his beats. Avicii, the man who defined EDM itself, was found dead in Oman on 20th April. It comes as a shock for the community because of his sudden demise at the age of 28. Nobody can deny what he has accomplished and his major contribution to modern music.
Back in 2016, Avicii decided to quit doing live shows because of health issues. Despite his struggles with mental and physical health, he remained dedicated to creating magic in music. Don’t forget ‘Hey Brother’ or ‘Wake Me Up’ because he made country music sound cool, a feat close to impossible, by adding the Avicii-ness to it making it bearable for millennials.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that Avicii has ‘lived a life to remember’ and that he died too young. But, his legacy will live on like the undying love for EDM. So, ‘don’t wake us up’ because we’ve ‘already made memories we know will never fade’.
